Bayelsa born music legend, Timaya releases new album dubbed ‘Gratitude’.
The album structurally portrays the true definition of music as a solution to the ordeals which confront human beings on daily basis. Timaya is no doubt, an endowed music icon in Africa. Over the years, he has been able to hoist the image of Africa through his music styles; afro pop and pop music.
Gratitude album houses tracks which include Born to Win, a song one can see as a freedom and a claim of one’s natural right or entitlement. ‘Born to Win not to lose’. It is thus a motivation to those who may be trapped in the webs of despair and slavery. Gratitude progresses with Iberibe (Igbo word) which means arguably stupid. Iberibe eulogizes sublime beauty of a damsel. That kind of song you love to play to the listening of your babe or wife. It is a praise of aesthetics; appreciating the creativity of God on the intended woman or lady. Iberibe blazes a trail for Don Dada, a satirical track. This track reveals disappointment from people you help. The theme of determination is also seen.
Conclusively, Gratitude houses a total of 15 tracks which are all equally important and rich in meaning. The album thus is an embodiment of motivation, love, hope, determination, relaxation/entertainment and among others.
